Full Marathon (42.2 km)

The full marathon starts in the picturesque community of Tofino.

At the 4.2 km mark, marathoners and first stage Relay runners will get to run the 1 km section of Chesterman Beach. The sand is very hard packed and the view is spectacular.

You will be running along Chesterman Beach, a gorgeous beach with spectacular ocean views. This is a great spot for your supporters to stand on the beach and take your photo.

We are also very happy to announce that Edge to Edge Marathon is a Certified Boston Marathon Qualifier Course (Course ID #BC-2006-042-BDC).

Check out the elevation profile as well on the map. You can see there's a nice hill at 20km and then a fast riser at the 37km mark. There's one more with one mile to go. You might want to check out the finish as you will be finishing on a slight downhill.

As you enter the lovely District of Ucluelet, you will be thrilled to know, you’re almost finished. The race finishes in front of the District of Ucluelet municipal all, which is a stone’s throw from the Whiskey Dock, our main working dock in the Ucluelet Harbour.

As you cross the finish line you will be greeted and presented a medal by our enthusiastic volunteers and dignitaries. Afterwards you will be treated to a buffet of food and you can sit and watch the other runners come in as you relax on the Village Green. We will have results posted as the race progresses.

We hope you stick around and enjoy the local sites. Right across the road from the finish line is the Ucluelet Aquarium and for the marathon runners, you probably want to take a stroll along the Wild Pacific Trail.

As we get closer to the marathon date we will have information posted on the bus schedule, Carbo Load dinner and the Registration; both events take place in Ucluelet. The registration will take place at the Ucluelet Community Centre and the dinner at the Black Rock Oceanfront Resort. The Community Centre is located at 500 Matterson Drive and the Black Rock is a short walk from the Ucluelet Community Centre, on Marine Drive. We will post the bus schedule and various pick up spots in Ucluelet and Tofino as soon as it is ready.

Half Marathon

It will be a Half Marathon filled with incredible scenery - crashing waves, beautiful views, beaches, and wildlife... expect it all!

This course will wind its way through the seaside village of Ucluelet with a portion of the course running on the spectacular Wild Pacific Trail! The trail is hard-packed and nicely graded with the most amazing views of the Pacific Ocean -- absolutely breathtaking!

The course will start on the road and paved bike path for the first 15km of the race and then slip onto the Wild Pacific Trail for approximately 4km and then a 500m stretch along Big Beach (gravel path). Then it's back on to the road thought the streets of Ucluelet for the final 2 km!

The Relay (Team of 5)

The relay shares the start line with the marathoners, in Tofino.

This Ekiden style relay is our most popular category. As a team of five, each person runs between 7-10km.

It's a great way to spend a weekend with your running friends! Make a weekend out of it....rent a condo or camp, and enjoy a wonderful weekend with your team.
