and Half Marathon course. Click Here.
At the 4.2 km mark, marathoners and first stage Relay runners will get
to run the 1 km section of Chesterman Beach. The sand is very hard
packed and the view is spectacular (see photos below).
Chesterman
Beach is one of the most beautiful places in the world and this addition will
make your marathon experience truly memorable. We will have photographers on the
beach taking your photo as you glide along the beach with the surf and the Wickaninnish
Inn in the background.
We are
also very happy to announce that the course is officially certified! Will
this challenging course see many qualify for Boston?
Check
out the elevation profile as well on the map. You can see there's a nice hill
at 20km and then a fast riser at the 37km mark. There's one more with one mile
to go. You might want to check out the finish as you will be finishing on a slight
downhill.

 Notice
the sand is very hard packed which will make for minimal sinkage and easy running.

 Running
along Helen Street with a view of Ucluelet Harbour. There's a good chance you'll
see (and hear) the Sea Lions.

Marathon).
 VILLAGE
GREEN: The finish line is now down along the waterfront by the District of Ucluelet
